Method offers a curated range of professional e-file tools designed to support your full workflow, including prep bits, carbide removal bits, sanding bands, and mandrels. Each product is intentionally designed to work together as a system.

Method tools are professional-grade, designed for nail techs who prioritize control, efficiency, and performance. Beginners can use them with proper e-file training.

Yes—all Method bits and mandrels use a standard 3/32” shank, compatible with most professional e-file machines.

To get started with Method, you don’t need everything—you just need the right combination of tools.

A simple, effective setup includes:

• One prep bit for clean, controlled nail preparation
• One removal bit based on your preferred speed and control
• Sanding bands + a mandrel for refining and versatility

This combination gives you a complete system for prep, removal, and refinement.

Each Method prep bit is designed with a specific level of control and access in mind. Choosing the right one depends on the area you’re working in and how much precision you need.

Designed for controlled cuticle work and flawless prep.

The flame bit allows you to gently exfoliate the cuticle area, remove non-living tissue, and refine the nail plate with precision. Its slim, tapered shape gives you clear visibility and easy access around sidewalls and the proximal nail fold—making it a go-to for detailed cuticle work.

Designed for the areas other bits can’t reach.

This ultra-slim bit is ideal for cleaning tight sidewalls, deep cuticle pockets, and refining around lifted product. The narrow 1mm head gives you maximum visibility and accuracy, allowing for highly controlled, detailed prep work.

Designed for smooth, controlled nail plate preparation.

The prep barrel is ideal for refining the nail surface, removing shine, and cleaning the cuticle area with stability and consistency. Its wider shape increases efficiency, while the rounded top adds an extra level of safety—making it perfect for even, controlled prep.

Each Method carbide bit is designed to balance power and control at different stages of product removal. Your choice depends on how quickly you want to remove bulk and how much precision you need.

Designed for rapid, efficient bulk removal.

This 6.6 mm straight barrel features a larger surface area, allowing you to remove product quickly while maintaining smooth, controlled cutting. It’s ideal for shortening service time during debulking without compromising stability.

Best for fast removal and high-efficiency services.

Designed for controlled, consistent removal.

This 5.3 mm straight barrel carbide bit is engineered for efficient removal of acrylic, hard gel, and builder gel while maintaining a high level of control. The precision-cut flutes create smooth, even cutting with reduced vibration and heat when used properly.

Best for techs who prioritize control, consistency, and a smoother removal experience.

Designed for speed without sacrificing control.

The Pro Taper combines aggressive bulk removal with precision access. Its tapered shape allows you to remove product efficiently through the body of the nail while still maintaining control near the cuticle area. The rounded tip adds an extra level of safety when working closer to the proximal fold.

Best for techs who want one bit that can do both bulk removal and detailed work.

Method sanding bands are available in 150 (medium) and 240 (fine) grit, each designed for a specific level of refinement and control.

• 150 (Medium) → Best for refining product, light shaping, and efficient surface work. This grit offers a balance of speed and control.
• 240 (Fine) → Best for gentle prep, smoothing, and removing shine from the natural nail with minimal abrasion.

Choosing the right grit comes down to how much material you’re working with and how much control you need.

A mandrel is the bit that holds your sanding band in place. Simply slide the band onto the mandrel and secure it before use.

Method bits are designed for consistent professional use. Lifespan will vary based on technique, speed, pressure, and maintenance, but below are general service ranges:

Carbide Removal Bits (Medium Grit)
Approx. 150–300+ services
Designed for durability and consistent cutting performance, even with regular use on acrylic and hard gel. Proper cleaning and controlled pressure will extend lifespan significantly.

Diamond Prep Bits (Flame, Micro Detail, Prep Barrel)
Approx. 75–150+ services
Diamond bits are designed for precision work and will gradually wear with use. Gentle pressure and proper cleaning will help maintain their effectiveness longer.

Mandrels
Approx. 6+ months of consistent use
Mandrels are long-lasting when used properly and should only be replaced if they become bent, worn, or no longer securely hold sanding bands.

Sanding Bands (150 & 240 grit)
Single-use only
For proper hygiene and performance, sanding bands should be discarded after each client.

Professional-grade bits are designed for controlled, consistent cutting, not just removal. That means:

• Smoother operation
• Less vibration
• Better control
• Longer-lasting performance

Lower-quality bits may seem similar, but they often dull faster, create more heat, and require more pressure—slowing you down over time.

With Method, you’re not just paying for a tool—you’re investing in efficiency and control behind the e-file.
